Do I have to throw out my mattress and furniture?
Usually not. Most mattresses, couches and beds can be treated and kept. We only recommend disposal when an item is too damaged or too heavily infested, and we offer a furniture disposal service that removes it safely without spreading bugs through the building.
Does one treatment get rid of them?
Heat treatment kills bed bugs and their eggs in a single visit, and we come back to verify. A chemical plan normally needs 2 to 3 visits, because new eggs hatch over the following weeks. Both are covered by the 90-day warranty.
How do I prepare my home?
We send you a simple prep checklist when you book: bag and wash bedding and clothes on hot, clear the floor around the bed, and don't move infested items to another room, because that spreads them. Helix also offers a preparation service if you'd rather we handle it.
How long do I have to leave during treatment?
For heat treatment, plan to be out for most of the day, about 4 to 6 hours, plus cool-down time. People and pets come back once your technician says the rooms are safe.
Is it safe for my kids and pets?
Yes. Heat treatment uses little or no chemical. With a chemical plan, your technician tells you exactly how long to stay out and which rooms to avoid.
Will my neighbours know?

I rent. Should my landlord pay?
